Become a Volunteer Firefighter
Make a Difference in Your Community
Volunteer firefighting is a commitment, but it is also one of the most rewarding ways you can serve your community. We understand that today’s families are busy, and we truly value the time our volunteers give—often sacrificing evenings, weekends, and time with their families to train, respond to emergencies, and help their neighbors.
At Little Lake Fire Protection District, we provide opportunities to learn and grow, including EMT, CPR, First Aid, Engineer training, and ongoing firefighter training. Department training is held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, with EMT classes on the 1st Wednesday of each month.
You don’t have to know everything before you start. If you want to help others, we can help you develop the skills you need. Come meet with us, learn what being a volunteer firefighter really involves, and discover how you can make a difference.
Your time matters. Your community matters. And so do you.
To volunteer with Little Lake Fire Protection District, applicants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid driver's license
- Have lived within the District for at least one year
- Be able to respond to emergency calls when available
Have questions or want to learn more? We would love to meet with you, answer your questions, and explain the many ways you can become part of our department.
